Basketball All-Stars — Congratulations to the two York Tech boys' basketball players who recently earned YAIAA Division III all-star honors: Rodney Hicks III (first team) and Mekhi Marks (second team). Great job, Spartans!

Engine Throwdown Champs — Last week, York Tech and Technical College High School Brandywine Campus went head-to-head during the 2025 Engine Throwdown Contest! Both schools successfully rebuilt engines that ran well and sounded great, so it came down to time. Ultimately, York Tech juniors Daniel Brookshire and Jacob Beavers narrowly squeaked by TCHS students Domonic Wood and Sam Dashivich for first place. Need to Know

New Fan Shops — York Tech recently partnered with Artistic Imprints to offer new general, athletics, and alumni fan shops. These shops feature free shipping and new artwork created by current or former York Tech students.

Prom Updates — More information about prom is now available on our website at ycst.info/prom25. Tickets will be on sale from March 24 to April 11. All juniors and seniors planning to attend the dance should review the details closely.

Style Show — Level III Licensed Cosmetology students will be hosting the annual Cosmetology Style Show in York Tech’s auditorium on Thursday, April 10. This year’s theme will be Rewind. Doors will open at 4:45 p.m., and the show will start at 5 p.m.  There is no cost to attend this event. We hope to see you there!

Spartan Brawl Event — Calling all wrestlers! The first Spartan Brawl, a multi-level wrestling event, will be held in York Tech’s Fieldhouse from April 25-27. Wrestlers of all ages are invited to participate. More information can be found on the tournament’s info page.

Physicals for Juniors — Students in Grade 11 are required to have a physical during their junior year. York Tech will be offering free in-school physicals on Thursday, May 1. Parents and caregivers who are interested in having their York Tech junior receive a physical through the school should notify the nurse by calling 717-741-0820 x5124 as soon as possible. Those who have already submitted physical paperwork or notification of a child's physical do not need to contact the nurse.
