Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting/Mandated Reporting
Individuals working in PA schools are Mandated Reporters, and must be trained in the recognition of the signs of abuse and sexual misconduct towards children as well as the reporting requirements for suspected abuse and sexual misconduct.  This training requirement is part of the Act 126 law.

If you have already completed Act 126 training, simply submit a copy of your certificate of completion to Dyann Karchnak in Human Resources.

If you have not completed the training, you may do so for free online through the University of Pittsburgh.  Click here to go to their Child Welfare Resource Center.  Please note that this is a three hour training.
