Course Descriptions

Cosmetology Level I
Students will be introduced to Professionalism, General Vocational Safety, Right To Know, Infection Control, Manicuring, The Nail and Its Disorders, The Skin and Its Disorders, Facials, Hair Removal, Makeup Application, Properties of the Hair and Scalp, Shampooing and Conditioning, Hair Cutting, Hair Styling, Chemical Texturizing, Hair Coloring, and Skills USA.

Cosmetology Level II 
In addition to a review of the Cosmetology Level I topics, students will be instructed in Salon Receptionist, Skills USA, S.T.A.R. and OSHA.
Students will perform advanced techniques such as Artificial Nail Applications, Corrective Makeup, Arm, Facial, and Leg Waxing, Artificial Eyelashes, Hair Cutting, Hair Styling including Wigs, Chemical Texturizing, and Hair Coloring including - Baylayage. 

Cosmetology Level III 
Besides a review of the last two years topics Anatomy, Electricity, Pennsylvania Cosmetology Laws, Rules & Regulations, Mock Cosmetology Boards, Salon Management, Skills USA, and completion of the OSHA modules will be taught.
Practical clinical experiences will be provided in the school's cosmetology salon.  Students will be trained in the safe use of Nail Drills, Skin Care Machines, Lash and Brow Tints, Clipper Cutting, Beard and Mustache Grooming, Hair Extensions, Advanced & Timed Perm Wraps, and Corrective Hair Color 

Cosmetology Level IV

The goals of the Level IV Cosmetology course are to continue to review skills learned in Levels I-III, continue to advance those skills, with emphasis on advanced esthetics and professional experiences.  Students will again be expected to participate on the clinic floor.

During the fourth year students who complete their cosmetology hours may be eligible to enroll in the school's cooperative education program, cosmetology teacher course or combination of these two.
