Assistant Director of Information Technology

The York County School of Technology is seeking candidates for the position of Assistant Director of Information Technology. The Assistant Information Technology Director is responsible for managing the Student Information System (SIS), Pennsylvania Information Management System (PIMS), maintaining the School’s website and providing Technology Integration support to school employees.

The Assistant Information Technology Director must have the ability to perform, review and administer in the following areas:

  • Manage and maintain the Computer Resources  MMS Student Information System
  • Perform extracts, submissions and data corrections for PIMS
  • Develop and maintain the School’s website and mobile apps
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues
  • Maintain and administer the School’s email system (Microsoft Exchange 2013)
  • Perform installation and maintenance on the School’s Servers and SANS
  • Develop and provide technology integration training to staff relating to the School’s hardware and software
  • Propose and evaluate new technologies based on the analysis of the School’s technology requirements
  • Assist the IT Director in developing, implementing and maintaining policies and procedures in the management of the School’s Technology
  • Maintain an awareness of current trends in technology and maintain technological skills through continuous professional development.


Successful candidates will hold a Bachelor's or Associate Degree in a computer-related field; Technology Integration Certification is desired.  They will have a minimum of four years' experience in combination with the following:

  • SIS Applications - MMS preferred
  • PIMS preparations and submissions
  • Website development and content management (SchoolMessenger Presence)
  • Technology Integration
  • LMS Applications – Schoology preferred
  • Windows Active Directory (MS Server 2012 and 2016)
  • Email - MS Exchange 2013 and 2016

Strong organizational skills, communication skills, and teamwork capabilities are expected.
